Broken links on REG.RU, Beget, Timeweb and other hoster site builders

REG.RU, Beget, Timeweb, RU-CENTER and a dozen smaller hosters sell a “site builder” next to hosting. Under the skin it is often a white-label constructor (Site.Pro and cousins) or a WordPress with a page builder (REG.SITE / Divi). The admin is branded. The rot is not.

Patterns

• Unpublished pages still in the menu after the 14-day trial became a cheaper tariff with fewer pages.
• Parked / “coming soon” that still 200s while the nav points at real paths that 404.
• Builder vs WordPress. If they migrated you from the constructor to WP (or Bitrix on the same account), old constructor URLs rarely get 301s.
• Stock template demo links (/blog/sample-post, /shop/demo-product) left in the footer.
• SSL / www. The builder publishes to http://site.ru; Chrome users land on https://www. That is a redirect chain before you even talk about 404s.

How to scan

Ignore the constructor canvas. Open the public hostname customers use. Advanced Broken Links Search on home and the inner templates. Crawl if there is a fake blog inside the template.

If the stack is actually WordPress, the WordPress article applies. If it is Bitrix hosting from the same registrar — Bitrix.

How to fix

Republish after menu edits. Use the builder’s redirect list if it has one; otherwise the hosting panel (nginx-level) — one 301. Delete demo pages. Do not leave the trial hostname in sitemaps.

Hoster constructors are fine for a visiting card. They still emit HTML. HTML still 404s.
