What’s new

Release notes for the Chrome extension. Newest versions first. We ship updates to the Chrome Web Store, then document them here.

2.0.0

Major update — whole-site crawl and more

Since 1.0.1 in the Chrome Web Store we built a lot of features in private builds (1.1.x never shipped to the Store). Version 2.0.0 publishes all of that in one major release.

Whole-site crawl

  • Dedicated scanner tab for crawling an entire site, not just the open page.
  • Sitemap and robots.txt support, scan history you can reopen later.
  • Crawl speed presets: Slow / Normal / Fast, live timer, pause and resume.
  • Recheck all for the current filter; image checking during crawl is opt-in (with a clear slowdown warning).

Absolute URLs (Abs filter)

  • New Abs filter finds URLs written with a full domain — not only links, but also images, iframes, embeds, and media.
  • The list is sorted A–Z. A short tip explains: links to other sites may use a domain; links to your own site are safer without one (so a domain change does not break them).
  • Head <link> tags (canonical, alternate, and similar) are still checked for HTTP status. Same-host head URLs are not counted as Abs; cross-host head URLs appear with an “in <head>” label at the end of the list and without Find on page.
  • Filter cards are more compact (label and icons on one row, count below). The http filter has a tip to prefer HTTPS.

Side panel

  • Main UI opens in Chrome’s side panel (popup fallback where side panel is unavailable).

Google Docs and Sheets

  • Extract links from Google Docs and Google Sheets.
  • Plain-text URLs in Sheet cells are collected, not only hyperlinks.

More reliable checks

  • Worker pool with per-host limits and smarter crawl deduplication.
  • 429 / 503 results are retried with backoff before counting as broken.
  • Dynamic content, mailto: / tel: validation, base href and page-level meta robots handling.

Reports and UX

  • “Found on pages” grouping, toolbar badge for error count, dark theme fixes.
  • Per-site settings, cookies mode for logged-in pages, safer CSV export (including Absolute / Raw Href columns).

Privacy and languages

  • Security hardening, full interface coverage across 50+ languages.
  • Privacy policy updated for unlimitedStorage, scan history, and narrow network rules used for Docs/Sheets.

1.0.1

First public release

The first version published on the Chrome Web Store. Check the page you have open — links, images, redirects — with highlights and export.

Core features

  • One-click scan of the current page: links and images.
  • Color highlighting on the page (ok, broken, redirects, insecure HTTP).
  • Filters, pause / resume, rescan a single URL, CSV export.
  • GET or HEAD requests, ignore selectors, interface in ~50 languages.

Install it. Scan a page. Fix what is actually broken.
