The extension
Advanced Broken Links Search works locally in Chrome. Link and image checks are HTTP requests from your browser to the target URLs. Results and settings live in chrome.storage on your device. We do not operate a proxy that sees the pages you scan.
- chrome.storage.sync — settings (request method, ignore selectors, and similar).
- chrome.storage.local / IndexedDB — scan cache and crawl history.
- You can wipe this by clearing extension data or uninstalling.
Permissions
host_permissions for all URLs exist so the extension can check links on sites you visit. storage, tabs, scripting, activeTab, and sidePanel exist so the UI and highlights work. They are not an analytics stack.
This website
abl-search.com and abl-search.ru are marketing and documentation sites. For questions, email contact@abl-search.com. We do not sell that.
The marketing sites use Yandex Metrika (separate counters for .com and .ru) to measure traffic. The Chrome extension still does not send scan results to our servers.
Server logs (IP, user agent) may exist at the hosting level for abuse control.
